“MultiVersus” is a crossover fighting game published by Warner Bros. Interactive and developed by Player First Games. It is similar to Nintendo’s popular fighting series, “Super Smash Bros.”, where characters from different video game franchises come together and fight until there is only one winner. This game is Warner Bros.’ take on Smash using characters from their own movies and T.V. shows. These characters include famous Warner Bros. mascots and voice acting, like Kevin Conroy as Batman, Eric Bauza as Bugs Bunny, Matthew Lillard as Shaggy, and Maisie Williams as Arya Stark. These voice actors give it their all when it comes to staying true to their characters and have chemistry with one another through their unique dialogues and interactions while fighting.

The gameplay and mechanics of “MultiVersus” mostly follow the same button-mashing and attack patterns depicted in Super Smash Bros. However, this game has many different features and styles that make it unique. The main difference is that the game is mostly about two versus two battles, where two players team up to take down another team of two players. It is an online teamwork game. It’s also free to play, unlike Super Smash Bros., which retails for about fifty dollars at GameStop. However, there are still in-game purchases a player can buy if they choose to.

The characters in this game are divided into different classes that showcase their abilities and move sets. These classes include Bruiser, Tank, Support, Mage, and Assassin. This can help players decide which type of characters they are comfortable using throughout the game. Another feature that characters have in the game is perks. These perks help power up and boost a character’s gameplay during matches. These game modes, features, and play styles make “MultiVersus” set itself apart from “Super Smash Bros.” and other similar titles.

The game has its fair share of criticisms and issues. One is that the game suffers from glitches. For example, one glitch that occurs is a character randomly teleporting across the screen, which can result in a player losing a match. There are also times when a match suddenly slows down and lags for almost the whole match. Another big criticism I have is the way you unlock characters. When you first start the game, you only get to play as four characters, and then you unlock the rest by playing and spending in-game money. I don’t like this system, because you may not be able to play as your favorite character right away, and it takes up a lot of time and a lot of in-game money to have the full roster of playable characters. Although these are major issues the game suffers, I hope these get fixed along the way. The game is still in its early stages, and I’m hoping that these glitches and bugs will get fixed as the game slowly updates.

Overall, “MultiVersus” is a fun game that anyone can enjoy. Although the game has similarities to “Super Smash Bros.” it is unique because of its gameplay and the features it presents. The two versus two dynamic is fun because you team up with other players online and work together to win the fight. The characters are also fun to play as, due to their unique move sets, and seeing them talk to each other and have conversations is something that will give players a good laugh. The perks and classes that come with different characters also help a player choose which characters they want to stick with while they play the game. The game being free to play allows a lot more people to play it, and although it suffers from bugs and glitches, I am hoping that these issues will be fixed as the game reaches its prime stage.

As a fighting game fan, I think this is one of the best games in the fighting game genre. The fast-paced and button-mashing gameplay gives the players an energetic mood to fight and duke it out with other players. The attacks and combos are really satisfying to play with because it showcases all the unique fighting styles for each character, and the two versus two aspect is a major highlight because you can team up with another player and combine your move sets to take down the other team. The music and stages are other highlights, as they come from other Warner Bros. franchises, and most fans will recognize the stages and songs. However, the big takeaway is the cast of characters. Seeing Warner Bros. characters coming together is any movie and T.V. show fans’ wish come true.

As someone who grew up with Warner Bros. movies like “The Dark Knight” and “Space Jam”, this game means a lot to me personally. Seeing my favorite childhood characters Batman and Bugs Bunny finally sharing the screen was something I’ve always wanted to see. Now that it’s come true, it makes me happy to see them together because it reminds me of my childhood, and I can play as them every time.
