In February the 2025 CAA College lacrosse season returned. Although Suffolk does not have a lacrosse team, fans of the sport can still enjoy games right in their backyard. Locally, Stony Brook Men’s Lacrosse started off their season with an exciting win against Rutgers (9-8). The Stony Brook Women’s Lacrosse team also started off their season strong with a win against Bryant University (16-12).
According to caasports, to date, the SB Men’s Lacrosse 2025 Standings is as follows: Fairfield (7-0), Hofstra (4-2), Delaware (3-2), Stony Brook (4-3), Drexel (3-3), Monmouth (3-4), Towson (1-5) and Hampton (0-6). To date, the SB Women’s Lacrosse 2025 Standings are as follows: Stony Brook (4-2), Drexel (5-2), Hofstra (5-2), Delaware (4-3), William & Mary (4-3), Elon (3-3), Towson (3-3), Monmouth (3-5) and Campbell (2-4).
According to stonybrookathletics, at the end of Stony Brook Men’s Lacrosse 2024 season, their overall result of wins to loses was 4-10: at home they were 2-6 and for away games they were 1-4. As for the Stony Brook Women’s Lacrosse 2024 season their overall result was an impressive 18-3: at home they were 12-1, and for away games they were 5-1.
Currently, Stony Brook Men’s Lacrosse is 4-3. At home, they are 1-2 whereas away they have a 3-1 winning record. As for Stony Brook Women’s Lacrosse, they are 4-2. At home they are 1-1 whereas for away games they are, like the Men’s team, 3-1. By the looks of these statistics, so far both lacrosse teams are having a decent season as well as playing better on the road with increased wins.
