Hundreds of students jammed into the Babylon Student Center on Wednesday for the fall Club Fair, as 49 clubs in tables spanning two floors of the building sought to connect with people who share similar interests.
Many club representatives said the event was a big success.
“We filled two sign-up sheets,” Deena Wood, 22, a member of the Psychology Club, said.
The fair was sponsored by the Office of Campus Activities and Student Leadership Development.
“Today was really beneficial,” Anna Santiago, 18, a member of the Psychology Club, added …. “I could tell a lot of people were passionate about psychology.”
Even for students who didn’t sign up for any clubs, it was an opportunity to connect with students and faculty. New students arrived and returning students introduced themselves to their new classmates.

“It was such a cool experience meeting everybody and all the new freshmen,” Katherine Quinche, 21, a member of the Computer Science Club, said.
Students who were unable to attend the fair or didn’t sign up for a club can still attend meetings.
