As I reflect on my time at Suffolk Community College, I am filled with a range of emotions. From the first day I walked into the campus, I have had some of the most amazing experiences of my life. My journey at Suffolk was nothing short of incredible, and it has helped me to become the person I am today. I still remember the day when I was confused about which college to attend, and I decided to sign up for Suffolk Community College just 2 weeks before the semester started. At that time, I had no idea how important this decision would be for me.

One of the highlights of my time at Suffolk was my involvement with Compass News, the student-run newspaper on campus. Writing for Compass News gave me a platform to express my thoughts and opinions and to talk about the sports that I love like football and basketball. Also allowed me to hone my writing skills and gave me a chance to explore my passion for journalism. Writing for Compass News also gave me the opportunity to cover some of the most exciting events on campus. I covered everything from clubs to sporting events to new partnerships that Suffolk has. Each article I wrote allowed me to immerse myself in the vibrant and diverse culture of Suffolk Community College.

As I transfer to Hofstra, I am sure I will bring with me the valuable experiences and lessons I gained at Suffolk Community College. The skills I developed through writing for Compass News will undoubtedly serve me well as I pursue my future endeavors. Transferring to a new college can be daunting, but I am confident that my experience at Suffolk has prepared me for the challenges that lie ahead.

Overall, my experience at Suffolk Community College has been nothing short of life-changing. I have grown as a person, made lifelong friends, and discovered my passion for journalism. I am grateful for the opportunity to write for Compass News and to be a part of such a supportive and inspiring community. And I want to thank all of my professors I had at Suffolk and I will always cherish the memories and the lessons I learned during my time, and I look forward to seeing where my journey takes me next.
