Nearly halfway through the semester, many students feel burnt out, balancing daily lectures, tests, homework and studying – amongst life’s other daily tasks. With spring recess just days away, here are five ways Suffolk students can rest and recharge.

 1. Binge-watch Netflix

Kick back, relax and unleash your inner couch potato. Season 2 of Emmy Award-winning “Bridgerton” is back on March 25. If period dramas aren’t your speed, here are all the movies and shows streaming on Netflix this month

2. Catch up with friends

“I’m mainly spending my week hanging out with friends, and sleeping in a ton!” general studies major Ella Arancio, 18, of Bayport said. “Spring break is a great way to decompress, especially with midterms right before. It gives me time to catch up on non-school related things that I haven’t been able to,” she added.

3. Read a book

Curl up and immerse yourself in a different world with a new book. If you’re unsure what to read, here are 14 new books coming this March.

4. Plan a day trip

If you’re staying local for spring recess, explore somewhere new on Long Island, like the Avalon Nature Preserve, the Parrish Art Museum, or Montauk Point State Park.

 5. Video Games

Whether your gaming system of choice is Playstation, Nintendo Switch or P.C., a week off is the perfect opportunity to indulge in your favorite games or try playing something new, like “Kirby and the Forgotten Land,” which is releasing for the Nintendo Switch on March 25.
