SCCC Students Comment on Rising Gas Prices

Rising gas prices on Long Island have affected students income and ability to commute to SCCC.

Gas prices have skyrocketed in recent months to above $4 a gallon on average on Long Island as the economy has rebounded from pandemic lows and the sanctions on Russian oil. Those feeling the effects at the pump are regular people like SCCC students and faculty who commute to school and work on a regular basis.
