Layne Groom is a journalism major from Lake Ronkonkoma and the current editor-in-chief of Compass News. Groom will graduate in May 2023 and plans to attend Stony Brook University to complete his bachelor’s degree. Layne would like to work for Pitchfork, enjoys music, and going to concerts. Groom has also been a competitive fencer for 10 years.
